The Bacchanal

These two met on the Island of Naxos while Dionysus and his followers were camping there. She unfortunately had been abandoned by the man she was supposed to marry, Theseus. Theseus along with seven others were supposed to be served to the minotaur. Ariadne gave him tools and a thread to help him defeat the beast. The two sailed off together, but when they camped on an island he and his crew left her in the night.

Some of the Maenads were out hunting when they found her crying on the beach. They took her to Dionysus who was taken with her. The two remained on the Island and fell in love, eventually marrying. At one point he became promiscuous and slept with a young girl from another village. When Aria found out she slapped him hard and made it clear she wouldn't stick around if he was like that. He swore to her he'd never do it again and he's kept that promise ever since.

When the curse hit she was a high school senior in Storybrooke under the name Amy Gilbert and only knew Dio or Dylan Nysos as the hot guy who helped bullied kids. In her home she lived with her father King Minos or Michael Gilbert who was just as cruel to her as he was in the Enchanted Forest. She wasn't the strong and brave woman she was in the EF, she was always scared and usually depressed. Now that the curse broke she hates being called by her cursed name as she hates who she was. Dio currently is looking for Minos who he plans to punish for the bruises dealt on his wife.

Corona was born in a poor family, but at 16 she caught the eye of a rich nobleman named Butes. She was happy to be wed to a rich and handsome man until she found out how controlling he was. He wasn't physically abusive, but she was just a pretty face to him that he could lock up and bring out when he was in the mood. Dionysus and his group were coming through the village and people were coming to him for his teaching and the joy he brought with him.

Corona wished to see Dionysus, but her husband forbade it telling her to remain home doing womanly things. She snuck out in the night while Dionysus was speaking to people and giving them wine. Her husband found out what she did and went after her. He tried to bring her home, but Dio revealed his divinity before the man who dove into the well, drowning. He offered the girl a place amongst his people and she left the village with him. In storybrooke she worked at a clothing store under the name Kayla Faye. Her life was pretty mundane, nothing special going on.
