Neal hadn't been in this town long, but, he'd started to have a strange feeling coming over him since he crossed the town-line. A feeling that he may actually belong here.
Once he reached this town, he wasn't quite ready to reveal himself to anyone here just yet. Since he didn't know anyone, and, he had some stuff to figure out first anyway.
Neal stopped his motorcycle for a moment, as he glanced around the town, noticing that it seemed kind of empty at this moment. Which was a surprise or new thing for him.
Hopping back onto his bike, Neal secured his helmet before once again taking off through the town.
Soon, he reached something that looked like docks. Neal took off his helmet, and, placed it on the handle-bar, before leaning against his bars for a moment.
As he sat there, Neal flashed back to his time on the Jolly Roger with Hook, where he started to adjust a life, before learning he had been used, and, then betrayed.
Neal sighed softly before stepping off of his bike, and, then taking a short walk to the bench of the docks, and, sitting down just enjoying the breeze as he leant back against it. | | Tags. [googlefont="Kaushan Script"] | They say that dreams are memories; memories of another life. One did not just come to Storybrooke. There was Emma and there was August. But now that the curse was broken, anyone could find Storybrooke and that was a little bit disconcerting to the powerful Mr. Gold. However, as long as people could get in, someone could also get out. However, there lay the problem. How was he supposed to even get out without losing his memories? He was making progress due to his vast knowledge on magic and his ability to adjust to the rules of this new world, even if the laws were different here.
So, when someone randomly arrives in Storybrooke who Mr. Gold doesn't know, he takes great notice. The person didn't seem as though they had gotten lost, almost as if he meant to be where he was. Another person from their world, hopefully. What else could explain such an attitude? However, he could not risk this person being of this world, and finding out about magic. He rather not have to fight off invaders, or have to place the town in a cloaking spell, as such a spell would prevent him from leaving Storybrooke, and he wasn't going to have that. He was far too close to finding his son to just allow the fear of outsiders prevent him from taking this last leap. He worked far too long to let anyone ruin the sweet, sweet victory that was on the edge of his lips, so he could almost taste it. Anyone who stood in the way would be treated accordingly.
Mr. Gold followed the man from a great distance away, using his magic the keep track of the man if he ever got too far that he couldn't see him anymore. What was his business? If he was from their world, then how did he get here? If he was from this world, how did he find Storybrooke? Were there others coming? Had he seen any magic? If he posed a threat, he would have to be disposed of accordingly. Finally, the man stopped at the docks and ended up sitting on a bench.
Slowly, Gold approached from behind and soon took a stance next to the bench. "Wonderful weather, don't you agree?" He turned his head to smile a toothy grin at the man he didn't recognize. "I haven't introduced myself, have I? I am Mr. Gold. I own the pawn shop in town. Now, normally I know everyone in this town. But I don't know you. What brings you to our… quaint little town of Storybrooke?"

Neal was sure that not alot of newcomers came into this town, maybe he had been able to find it because he was from the land where everyone else here was. The fact that magic was back was enough for him to make his way here, Neal wanted to be able to protect people from his father. Neal just had to work up the courage to face the man, not to reveal himself, just find a way to keep them protected. All he wanted was to have the peace and keep the one person he loved most protected and safe. Neal knew that Emma had her parents now, but, extra protection shouldn't hurt.
As Neal rode his bike, he started feeling the memories coming through his head. The flashes of him and his father back in the Enchanted Forest. Back when they were happy. He hated thinking of those moments, since it just reminded him of what he'd lost the moment his father let his hand go. Neal didn't know that he'd been followed to these docks, by his father no less. Although there was some sense that he could tell. He'd been followed for a long time, nearly two centuries while he was on Neverland. But, he wasn't sure why. Neal just ignored it, and, kept riding towards the bench, taking a seat on it.
Hearing that voice made Neal sit up straight, and, he felt a shiver down his spine. Neal knew that voice, it had haunted him for so long, and, he would never be able to forget it. Neal knew he'd have to keep a somewhat calm attitude, since that was the best way to avoid suspicision, aside from the whole newcomer thing. "Yeah, it is pretty good." Neal said, sighing softly, smiling back at his father. "Nice to meet you Mr. Gold. No, I guess you don't know me. I came here to try and find someone, somehow I felt drawn to the town." | | Tags. [googlefont="Kaushan Script"] | They say that dreams are memories; memories of another life. So far there wasn't anything he noticed in the man that aroused any suspicion of lying, or malicious intent. However, Gold wasn't one for trusting anyone, not even those closest to him. In fact, he made all sorts of possible routes to go in case someone didn't act like he planned it so. He also tried to manipulate history in order to go the route he wanted for the destination that he saw due to his seer powers. He knew that in the end, he would see his son. He knew there would be a curse. He knew that Snow White would have a child who would come to help him reunited with his son. It was all a matter of time. And he couldn't let this stranger stand in his way.
"I see. If you need any help… like I said, I know everyone in this town. I can help you find… whoever it is you're looking for," Gold replied hands firmly on his cane. He was trying to give off a calm, and mature sort of attitude. He rather not have this man wander off back out of here, and tell of magic and everything else. And who knew who cared about this man? If he didn't leave, then they might come looking for him, and well, Gold couldn't have a ton of people suddenly disappearing after setting off to this part of the world. No, he had to play it subtle. Unlike in the Enchanted Forest, he hadn't the reputation in this world to the outsiders. They didn't know of his venomous deals. It was a whole new world, a whole new start, where he could build up his reputation.
No. No. He couldn't do that.
As soon as he found Baelfire he promised he'd try to be good, to be the man he wanted him to be, for that was what he weighed all the bad things he did against, that he could atone when he finally found his son. His son would never forgive him for doing bad things. At the very least he would try very hard to be a good man for his son. He was just afraid he was going to fail. |

Neal wasn't trying to raise suspisicion in this town, he just wanted to find Emma and then make sure his father wasn't going to hurt anyone again. At least one of those things had been fulfilled pretty easily, since his father seemed to have found him. His father seemed relatively calm and without magic, but, that didn't mean he trusted the man. Neal didn't trust alot of people, and, he certainly didn't trust that his father was not going to use magic. This was the same man who had chosen a dagger over him. Of course Neal didn't know that his father had wanted to get back to him since the moment he had made that choice. That the whole town was created so that his father could find him. Not that he would care one way or the other.
"I'll keep that in mind. But, I think I'll be fine. If I need help from anyone, I promise I'll come and find you." Neal said, keeping his hands in his pockets. Neal didn't want to go to anyone for help, especially when that same someone had let him go easily. Neal wasn't planning to leave the town anytime soon, at least not before seeing Emma and making sure his papa wasn't going to hurt anyone. Besides it wasn't like anyone cared about him out there. As far as people needed to know, he was just a newcomer from the outside world. Sure, eventually someone would find out who he is, but, until then he was fine with that image of himself. Neal knew about his papa's deals, and, hoped that he wasn't that way anymore. But, something told him he would never change.
He was never capable of doing that.
If he hadn't been able to change with the amount of times he'd asked him too back in the Forest before abandoning him for good. Neal had seen him do so much that had haunted his nightmares, and, hurt so many innocent people who had just wanted his help. Neal may have been able to get past the bad things he'd done, but, he would never be able to forgive him for letting him go. Breaking both their deal and his heart. That's why he was here for Emma, not for him. | | Tags. Adam Gold Notes. Some notes go here and they will keep going and go further - Keep going Go further Past the edge And into glory We go. | |
